The good lady and me really enjoyed our couple of nights stay @ THE GLADSTONE in June 2023. The room was excellent although only merited "economy without views" as we booked our stay when the Hotel was full (only 6 rooms). Unfortunate that there was not an upgrade available. We chose to dine at the Hotel as the food was wholesome, tasty and cooked to perfection with a non processed appeal presented from a reasonable priced menu. The Gladstones heart was the bar with sea views and chesterfield furniture, very trad' decor, real ales and cheerful bar staff - suited me being a pub person with years as a CAMRA member and many more years enjoying the beers around the world. Overall The Gladstone deserves a high score review, I would not bother at all reviewing inferior establishments so I am pleased to confirm the visit as most enjoyable. Marty

Very clean, all signage clear but not obtrusive, staff clearly focussed on guests needs. Locals in bar respected our space, while getting on with their lives - we think there was a pool league or similar event. Location was better than expected - yes, it's near the Expressway but we got little traffic noise and found a nice walk into the village and nearby seafront. Room was warm, comfortable and well furnished, with reliable plumbing. Had chairs in bedroom which many places miss out. We had missed dinner time but owner Steve helped us order a delivered-takeaway and provided plates and cutlery. Breakfast was generous and tasted great. Over breakfast co-owner Gavin chatted to us about things to do nearby - and his suggestions proved excellent. Made great start to holiday week.

We loved everything - from our first meeting with Gavin to our last goodbye with Gavin! Beautiful building, fabulous sea view, and four poster bed. The bar was full of locals, which was a good sign to us. We'd booked for dinner and it was delicious. Pan fried sea bass with a white wine sauce. Desserts, well. Hubby had a jaffa cake sundae, I had frozen cherry Eton mess. Superb. The room had a bath and a shower, so we were both happy. Breakast was perfect. A full Welsh breakfast. Tasty sausage, fresh mushrooms and gorgeous black pudding. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. Gavin does a great front of house job, and I believe the fabulous chef is his husband. An excellent team altogether. We'll definitely be going back.

This adorable inn had fantastic, helpful staff, beautiful views and was a great location for exploring several areas on our itinerary in North Wales. The pub had great outdoor seating. The included breakfast was incredible and we enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant there as well - we were lucky enough to be there for steak night! The staff were amazing - from suggestions for off-the-beaten-path dinner locales, directions for our hikes and helping us move rooms after a plumbing issue, I couldn't have asked for better!

This country inn is on high ground 200 yards from the Irish Sea. Our room on the first floor had an unobstructed view of the gorgeous sunsets into the sea. The two owners and their staff were engaging and helpful. The included full breakfasts were terrific, and Sunday roast dinner was special!! We can’t say enough about our wonderful stay at the Gladstone, plus all of the wonderful sights nearby!!
